The stewardship of our finances is monumental and yet often not thought about. Giving is an area of our lives where we can faithfully proclaim the gospel. Giving intensifies and bolsters our devotion to Christ and frees us to live open-handedly with all God gives us.

We mark ourselves as faithful followers when we give unto the kingdom, when we trust in Him and His provision instead of our self-sufficiency. As people of faith, we give faithfully and freely. God doesn't need our money. Above all, He is relentlessly after us, all of us. Yet, how we use our money is a very accurate indicator of where our heart is and what we value most. Jesus said, "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" (Matthew 6:21). Giving is an act of beautiful worship and commitment not only to the community of believers, but more importantly to those in need outside these four walls.
